The Schools ICT Academy was driven by Edunova in partnership with the Shuttleworth Foundation and the Western Cape Education Department (WCED).

The objective was to develop ICT management and leadership capacity within schools in the Western Cape by training ICT facilitators and creating a virtual learning environment that allows for online access to the curriculum materials, best practice guidelines, modular training and support processes required to run an effective school ICT laboratory.
