Past Projects

The Shuttleworth Foundation has financed many projects in the past, specific to funding areas and the general focus of the Foundation to improve education, telecommunications and the use of technology within South Africa while driving change and policy reform.

Most of these projects are of a finite nature, being research undertakings or investigations, or have matured to the level at which they grow from being incubated by the Foundation to becoming self-sustaining initiatives in their own rights.

This section of the website contains overviews of some of the past projects that the Foundation has involved itself in and that have run their course, or moved to becoming independent.
