The Shuttleworth Foundation is loosely involved with a series of events on Open Everything. As the project website says:
Open Everything is a series of conversations about the art, science and spirit of 'open'. It gathers people using openness to create and improve software, education, media, philanthropy, neighbourhoods, workplaces and the society we live in: everything. It's about thinking, doing and being open.
We believe that conversations like make it easier to apply open source thinking to things well beyond the realm of technology. For us, we're particularly interested in how the principles and tactics of open source apply to education and philanthropy.
