Wendy Stoffels advises the Principal Advisor, Chief Financial Officer, Portfolio Managers and Fellows of the Shuttleworth Foundation with regards to proposals for funding. Any proposals that come in to the Foundation are channelled to the team via her. Wendy encourages enthusiasm amongst the team and generates ideas on improving the smooth running of the Shuttleworth Foundation office. She also ensures deadlines are met. Wendy has nearly forty years of experience in working with non-governmental organisations, including 15 years spent at the University of the Western Cape. She has worked with communities for many years and has a strong background in administration, supervising, finance, coordinating events and international conferences. For many years she coordinated foreign students doing their doctorates in South Africa. Wendy was born on Christmas day, has been married for 36 years and has two children. Her hobbies include cooking, knitting and she has a passion for travel. |
