Karien Bezuidenhout | Portfolio Manager
Karien Bezuidenhout is a Portfolio Manager at the Shuttleworth Foundation. Her primary areas of interest are Open and Collaborative Resources and Intellectual Property Rights as they relate to openness and access in education and technology. The purpose of Karien's work is to explore and promote policies and practices that enable and support collaboration and the sharing of knowledge in the information age. Karien holds a masters degree in Futures Studies from the University of Stellenbosch Business School and has also studied at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town. She is both a Stockholm Challenge and Global Knowledge Partnership Award juror. |

Jason Hudson | Portfolio Manager
Jason Hudson is an open source enthusiast and thoroughly qualified Linux professional. He founded the Freedom Toaster project, which was incubated by the Shuttleworth Foundation and is now the focus of a business in its own right. Jason is currently a Portfolio Manager at the Shuttleworth Foundation. With a primary focus on Communication and Analytical Skills Development and Telecommunications as funding themes for the Foundation, the purpose of Jason's work is to explore and promote policies and practices that tackle issues of openness and access in education and technology. These themes are explored in the context of developing countries and through international collaboration. |
